Job Description:
The City of Eustis is in need of a volunteer to serve as a regular member on its Library Board of Trustees. The board of trustees of the library shall be an advisory board to the city commission, making policy suggestions and recommendations to the city concerning the operations of the library. The board of trustees of the library shall have the authority to receive and hear complaints concerning the use and operation of the library and to make recommendations to the director of library concerning resolution of legitimate complaints. The Board consists of five (5) members, all citizens of the city, appointed by the City Commission for five-year terms. The board meets quarterly in the afternoons and may schedule additional meetings as needed. (Please note: Volunteers donate their services to the City, without compensation.) Final candidates are required to undergo a background check, including criminal history.
