Job Description:
The City of Eustis is seeking volunteers for two (2) new nonvoting positions on the Eustis Downtown and East Town Community Redevelopment Agency Board. Interested applicants must reside or operate a business within the Community Redevelopment Agency District. One new member must either reside or operate a business in the portion of the CRA east of Center Street and Center Street extended. The other new member will represent the portion of the CRA west of Center Street and Center Street extended. The first appointment will be for a period of two years with subsequent appointments to be for a period of four years. The second appointment will be for a full four-year term. In addition, applicants must have either education or experience in one of the following fields: architecture, finance, construction, land-use, sustainability, or community redevelopment. Alternatively, applicants will also qualify who have professional and/or residential experience in affordable housing. The board meets the third Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm in the Eustis Commission Chambers, which is located at 10 North Grove Street, Eustis, Florida. (Please note: Board members are considered volunteers and donate their services to the City, without receipt of compensation.) Final candidates are required to undergo a background check, including criminal history. Upon successful completion of a background check, applicant names will be forwarded to the City Clerk and Economic Development Director for submittal to the City Commission for consideration.
