Job Description:
The City of Eustis is in need of one (1) board member to serve on its Police Pension Board. The Board is responsible for administering the Police Pension and Retirement Trust Fund. It consists of five (5) members who serve two-year terms. Members consist of two police officers who are members of the plan and appointed by members of the Police Department, two members appointed by the City Commission and one member appointed by members of the board and confirmed by the City Commission. The non-police officer members must be residents of the city. The current opening is for the commission-appointed member. The board meets at least quarterly in February, May, August, and November in the Eustis Commission Chambers, which is located at 10 North Grove Street, Eustis, Florida. (Please note: Board members are considered volunteers and donate their services to the City, without receipt of compensation.) Final candidates are required to undergo a background check, including criminal history.
