The City of Eustis is currently in need of four (4) board members and two (2) alternate members to serve on its Code Enforcement Board. The Board seeks to promote, protect and improve the health, safety and welfare of the citizens by enforcing city codes, identifying code violations and encouraging compliance. The board consists of seven (7) members, appointed to three-year terms by the City Commission and is empowered to: subpoena alleged violators, witnesses and evidence; take testimony under oath; issue orders commanding remedial action necessary for code compliance; and impose fines as appropriate.
Interested applicants should complete a Volunteer Services Application, available on the City’s website at www.eustis.org or at the City’s Human Resources Department. Application should be hand delivered to Human Resources, 109-A E. Orange Ave., Eustis. Additional forms will need to be completed in the Human Resouces office before applicant can be considered.

Board members must be city residents. Per Florida Statutes, whenever possible, membership shall include an architect, a businessperson, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor and a realtor. The board meets on the third Monday of each month at 3:00 pm in the City Commission Room. (Please note: Volunteers donate their services to the City, without receipt of compensation.)
Final candidates are required to undergo a background check, including criminal history.
