Job Description:
The City is seeking a trustworthy individual who, under general supervision, will perform part time/temporary entry-level work involving the supervision and maintenance of the City’s holidayice rink facility. Individual must be a team player who is responsible, dependable and has the ability to supervise patrons. These are temporary positions. EXAMPLES OF MACHINES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED Calculator, janitorial supplies, and sound system. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Enforcing facility and City policies and regulations as they relate to the use of the holiday ice rink; • Supervise participants of the assigned facilities while in use; • Opening and closing procedures, communicating with customers, enforcing ice rink rules, handling of money; • Maintains order, discipline and safety; • Sets up and takes down any equipment before and after scheduled activities; • Assists with the maintenance and inspection of all equipment and ice rink area. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS • Performs clean-up of ice rink area; • Performs other related duties as required. REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Abilities and Skills – Ability to work with the general public of all ages tactfully and effectively; ability to maintain records and reports; ability to work independently; ability to maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and the public. Working Hours – Approximately 15 – 30 hours a week dependent on ice rink schedule; ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays is required. Salary Range – $10.00/hr. Only applicants with the most job-related qualifications will be selected for interview and further consideration. Minimum Qualifications – Ability to communicate and deal with the general public of all ages tactfully and effectively; Good customer service skills; Knowledge of basic mathematics; Must be a responsible team player who enjoys supervising public; First aid / CPR training desirable; Experience supervising/working with children desirable

Physical Demands:
This is continuous light work and occasional heavy work. Requires frequent walking and standing for long periods of time; good finger/hand dexterity and hand/eye coordination; good eyesight, hearing and speech; working in adverse environmental conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) for long periods of time.
